Three Distinguished Community Leaders  Join the Eden II & Genesis Foundation Board
 

At the October meeting of the Eden II & Genesis Foundation Board of Trustees, three community leaders were unanimously approved to serve on their board.

Robin LefkowitzRobin LefkowitzRobin Lefkowitz is Northfield Bank’s Senior Vice President and Director of Business Development, with over 27 years of banking and financial experience. Prior to her position with Northfield, Robin was Vice President, Business Development, for Independence Community Bank. Robin holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Brooklyn College and an MBA from Wagner College. As a long-time, active community member, Robin’s involvement includes holding the positions of Board Member for each, the Staten Island Chamber of Commerce, Staten Island Mental Health and Richmond University Medical Center (RUMC) Foundation. As a Wagner alumna, Robin currently serves as Co-Chair of the Wagner College Chai Society. She is a founding member of the SIEDC Executive Women’s Council.

 

 

Teresa Lemma MD

Teresa Lemma MDDr. Teresa Lemma, MD is a pediatrician on Staten Island with Pediatric Health Care PC located on New Dorp Lane. Dr. Lemma is also the Program Director for Pediatric Residency Department at RUMC, as well as the Department of Pediatrics Clinical Clerkship Director. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor at New York University’s School of Medicine. Dr. Lemma is board-certified with the American Board of Pediatrics since 1989, and is a member of APPD, Richmond County Medical Society, RUMC Medical Executive Committee, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. She is also serves on the RUMC Foundation Board. Dr. Lemma is actively involved with the community and has a strong connection to people on the autism spectrum in the borough. Dr. Lemma is chairing the Eden II & Genesis Foundation’s annual gala, Art for Autism, on November 14th at the Hilton.

 

 

Cliff Mevs MD (1)

Cliff Mevs, MD Dr. Clifford Mevs, MD is a pediatrician on Staten Island with Pediatric Health Care PC located on New Dorp Lane. Dr. Mevs is board-certified in Pediatrics & Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics. He is the Section Chief of Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics at RUMC and the Medical Director of the Elizabeth W. Pouch Center for Special People. He has been an active member of many organizations, including the local chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics, American Academy of Pediatrics Children with Disabilities Panel, the Richmond County Medical Society, and the Staten Island Disability Advisory Board. Passionate and dedicated, Dr. Mevs has devoted countless hours to the care of Staten Island families, particularly those with children on the autism spectrum. Dr. Mevs is receiving the Making a Difference Award at the foundation’s Art for Autism Gala on November 14th. For more information, visit www.eden2.org/autismgala.

The Eden II & Genesis Foundation is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support for programs, services, and initiatives that aid children and adults living with autism throughout the boroughs of the City of New York, as well as Long Island.
